Nothing brings us more joy than hearing from couples about their Tamborine Mountain wedding experience. Last month, Sheenal and Thomas celebrated their love in the stunning Tamborine Gardens, with the help of a selection of our wonderful TMWG vendors.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with this beautiful couple to hear more about their wedding planning process, how they navigated the changing COVID environment and the highlights from their special day.
Q: What was it that made you decide to choose Tamborine Mountain as your wedding destination?
A: We attended a number of wedding venues from the Gold Coast up to the Sunshine Coast. We knew Tamborine Mountain as we had hiked and stayed there on many occasions before. Essentially, Tamborine Mountain provided the perfect place for the “destination wedding” as it had the scenery and the getaway retreats all at an affordable price.
We did unexpectedly attend a Wedding Expo that happened to be on the same day we first attended Tamborine Gardens, however, this was already after we had made the decision to choose Tamborine Mountain as a venue.
Q: What made Tamborine Gardens the perfect choice of venue for you? What did you love about the venue?
A: To be honest, it was the service first and foremost. We had been to so many wedding venues beforehand where the service felt very impersonal, or non-existent. After our first meeting with the Tamborine Gardens team, we knew that we could trust them to manage our wedding.
The service from everyone involved in our wedding was fantastic, they all seemed genuine in wanting to make our day the best it could be. Added to this the great scenery, and the adaptability of areas of the venue to be transformed to suit each and every taste.
Q: Tell us about your day… how did it flow, how did you feel? Set the scene for us.
A: The day went perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. The weather was not too hot, and there was not a cloud in the sky. Everything went off as planned. In terms of how it felt, it’s hard to explain unless you’re in the position of being married. It was an indescribable feeling seeing everything you’d worked to put together the last 18 months fall into place. Being together in that moment made us both realise just how much we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together
Q: Have you received any positive feedback from your guests? How did your friends and family enjoy the day?
A: Yes – everyone loved the venue, the decorations, and the food. They thought the ceremony itself was beautiful and very touching. They thought that everyone involved on the day from the venue staff to the photographers was extremely personable and professional.
Q: How did your choice of Tamborine Mountain Wedding Group Vendors help to create your ultimate wedding?
A: We knew from our first conversations with each and every one of these people that we were in safe hands. Although COVID certainly caused some issues with the delay of our initial wedding, all of the vendors were very understanding of the situation and it was very easy to re-organise our wedding with them.
We felt as though having these vendors lifted a great deal of stress off our shoulders as they were extremely professional through everything that occurred in the lead-up, and it felt as though they felt honoured, and genuinely excited, to be part of our special day. All the vendors were extremely lovely.
