Tamborine Mountain is an incredibly unique destination for your Wedding Day. It is in a remarkable location that’s hard to beat, being striking distance from both the Gold Coast and Brisbane for ease of proximity for traveling guests + it offers a beautiful, tranquil environment that’s becoming more and more sought after in the busy, bustling world of today. The views and opportunities for photographs will quite simply blow you away and our photographers know all the very best spots of course too. Tamborine Mountain is a rainforest rich, natural wonder that sits proudly in the hinterland within the spectacular Scenic Rim region which dates back some 23 million years ago when the rare plateau was created by the outpouring of lava from the Mt.Warning volcano. At 8km long, 5km wide and rising to 525m above sea level, the scenery and views are abundant and ever beautiful from all directions, wherever you venture across the mountain. It’s also blessed with a very unique climate that’s unheard of in the Great South East.

There is wonderful representation of all four seasons, Autumn is rich in colour with cool days and a big blue sky overhead, Winter is chilly and crisp requiring a fire and obligatory glass of wine (what a shame, right?), Spring is invigorating with the most resplendent of floral displays and Summer is warm and inviting with much less humidity than the lower lying regions. On average Tamborine Mountain is about 5 degrees cooler than say the Gold Coast or Brisbane on any given day. There’s lots to love about that and we promise you that love lives in the clouds up here! There is undeniably a different feeling about this place, it’s special and offers you a glorious opportunity to celebrate your wedding during any season of the year. People who would love to marry in Summer but would never dream of it elsewhere for fear of boiling in unbearable heat, are always surprised to realise that Summer on the hilltop is actually a very real contender up here. These attributes are some of the reasons why Tamborine Mountain has become such a strong drawcard for couples marrying in South East Qld.

Couples want an unforgettable location, something that’s dramatic and stunning at the same time – they love the idea of bypassing mainstream CBD wedding venues to give their wedding day a unique ‘wow factor’ and are opting in greater numbers for a naturally beautiful setting that’s aways going to be special. A destination wedding that’s within close proximity of where you live also provides an ongoing opportunity to re-visit and stay somewhere special for anniversary celebrations. What could be better than that to top it all off!

The Tamborine Mountain Weddings Group has been growing year on year, since it’s foundation year some 20 years ago and has proudly offered FREE Wedding Expos twice a year, in February & July (the next is the 28th July 2019, so mark it in your diary now!) for over a decade now too. With a formidably large range of venues spread across a pretty small square kilometre footprint, Tamborine Mountain packs an impressive punch when it comes to options for couples choosing to marry in this stunning region. There are literally dozens of venues to choose from, all completely different in style and setting, but all aligned in a collective mission of sharing their passion for weddings on Tamborine Mountain with their couples. The TWMG proudly represents venues that offer rainforest settings, castles, formal gardens, wineries, luxury retreats, churches & chapels, country estates, old world manors, pubs + historical and iconic buildings. We challenge you to find a greater array of venues to choose from in your wedding search than what you’ll find here on Tamborine Mountain.

This region also offers literally every supplier you could possibly need for your big day too. The list is extensive and wide in range. The added benefit of the TMWG and this wonderful small community (there are approximately 7000 residents on Tamborine Mountain) is that all our venues and suppliers have a great working relationship and know each other really well. Many of them are great friends, even when they work within the same field, happily sharing ideas and recommending other suppliers when they have no availability themselves. We’re a team of supporters and encouragers who strive to offer the best to our couples. Collaboration is key and it’s valued as an integral part of the whole process. It’s what will set your wedding apart, guests feel it on the day because there is a cohesiveness about our weddings. They talk and acknowledge this fact and guess what, this reflects beautifully on ‘you’ because after all it is your day. You can rely on the TMWG to deliver you with resourceful, friendly, professional and personal service every step of your planning journey and most importantly on the big day itself.
