Last Sunday, 26th July we held the very first Wedding Trail in this beautiful part of the world…. the Tamborine Mountain Wedding Trail and we are super proud to report that it was a resounding success! Although we woke to heavy rain and a very cloudy reception, the weather cleared as the morning rolled on and we were thrilled to see that so many lovely couples, along with their family members, all braved the wet roads and came up for an adventure here on the hilltop.

Come midday the clouds had gone, the blue sky was out and sunshine even peaked through for a good portion of the day. With 14 our of best wedding venues throwing open their doors and a host of our incredible suppliers stationed at each property showcasing their trade, it made for the most wonderful ‘wedding planning’ day-out. All our members thoroughly loved meeting so many beautiful couples who are planning to make Tamborine Mountain the destination for their special day.
We had both our members and married couples-to-be giving us amazing feedback throughout the day and it has only continued since too. So many people were rather happy that Covid-19 had provided the opportunity for us to offer a different type of event to our usual winter Wedding Expo. People gave us stories like “I think the Wedding Trail is a fabulous idea and I found it much more guest-friendly than an Expo as I was able to chat with particular vendors I wanted to touch base with.” Many couples also remarked that they didn’t actually realise it was our first Wedding Trail and that they thought it was extremely well organised. We love hearing everyone’s feedback and are in the process of compiling all the amazing commentary we’ve been receiving.

Our $1000 Giveaway on offer at the Wedding Trail was also a big drawcard and we encouraged all our couples far and wide to enter at every venue they visited to increase their chances of WINNING! We know there can only be one winner though, as much as we would always love to give away more and on Tuesday this week, the heads of our committee, Di Anderson + Kim Burgess met with the lovely Sharee from Scenic News who graciously offered her time to draw our lucky winner. A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to our WINNER – Brooke Morris, who’s name was drawn randomly from all the entries on the day! Making the phone call to announce that the person has WON is always a special moment for Di the President of Tamborine Mountain Weddings Group and this call was no exception. Brooke was absolutely over the moon when she heard that she was the WINNER! Brooke and her fiancĂ© Nathan will be able to use their $1000 towards 1 or 2 vendors that they book from those who exhibited at our Wedding Trail. Brooke + Nathan are planning to marry at Cedar Creek Estate in September 2021 and we can’t wait to share more of their wedding plans and who they will spend their prize with soon. Congratulations again Brooke + Nathan, we couldn’t be happier for you both!

A few more photos to share from out and about along the Wedding Trail – we will add more as they come in.

We hope you all enjoyed our first Wedding Trail as much as we did and we all cannot wait to help you bring your wedding dreams to life here on Tamborine Mountain in the near future. Happy planning everyone!
