Tamborine Mountain is known as the ‘green behind the gold’ due to it’s lush green & rainforest terrain that’s tucked just behind the golden beaches of the Gold Coast. It’s easy to not even realise that this wonder exists right here on the doorstep of the glitter strip and in so many ways that’s what always makes the discovery of this gorgeous mountain that much more special to newcomers. People cannot believe that all this exists so close to a major tourist attraction like the Gold Coast – which conjures up holidays by the sandy beaches, great surfing, a relaxed pace and hot, humid weather that certainly lives up to it’s well known mantra, ‘ beautiful one day, perfect the next.’

So that’s why people are always surprised that this charming little pocket of peace & tranquility filled with an abundance of flora & fauna is here for all to find and fall in love with! Here you can experience a true Autumn & Winter with all the gorgeous colours of fall on the mountain’s dramatic trees & all the chilly nights curled up by a fire with a vino in hand – the seasons here on Tamborine Mountain are much more reminiscent of southern NSW, rather than the QLD and this is something that always comes as a pleasant surprise!

Vistas that stretch out in all directions are here to be marvelled at and savoured – east to Gold Coast skyline and Pacific Ocean, north to Brisbane & Moreton Bay, east through the Scenic Rim & out to The Great Dividing Range and south to Beechmont, Binna Burra, O’Reilly’s & The Lamington National Park. The views really are something to be behold from all directions and there are incredibly beautiful bush walks dotted all over the mountain from which you can enjoy these vistas, pristine rainforest and gorgeous waterfalls.

There is undeniably something magical about Tamborine Mountain and that’s why it provides the perfect escape from city life to marry your beloved and celebrate this milestone in a beautifully unique setting that offers so much in terms of ‘landscape’ and a connection with ‘place’. It is these exact qualities that we find most couple’s look for when they start to think about where they want to get married.

Being arguably one of the biggest celebrations in life, you want this day to happen in a place that feels special to you both, a place that’s different to the norm & that symbolises new beginnings and a place that speaks to you, where you can already sense the lasting memories that you’ll make there. Of course, being close enough to also come back for special anniversaries or time away together is also an added bonus when it comes to Tamborine Mountain.
