4. WHAT BROADER COMMUNITY SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE ON THE MOUNTAIN?

Tamborine Mountain is a beautiful semi-rural community with around 7,000 residents. There is literally one of every modern day service available to you on the mountain. There is a large IGA supermarket and a smaller corner store option, a petrol station, police station, ambulance & fire service, a multitude of cafes, restaurants, wineries, breweries & pubs, a theatre, library, doctor’s surgeries, real estate agents, hairdressers, hair & make-up services, day spas, jewellery designers, photo booth hire, physiotherapists, solicitors, pet food stores, butchers, bakeries, fruit & veg stores, health food stores, numerous boutiques and cafes….and the list goes on and on.

5. WHAT’S THE CLIMATE LIKE?

Tamborine Mountain is blessed with very moderate climate, where it is rare for the average daily temperature to rise above 30 degrees celsius. Generally speaking, the mountain is some 4 – 6 degrees cooler in the summer months than that of the areas around the foothills extending to the Gold Coast/Brisbane. There is a distinctly lower rate of humidity here which means it’s always so much more pleasant throughout the warmer months, which makes for a beautiful change and couldn’t be more welcome on your Wedding Day. Due to the nature of this unique climate system, Tamborine Mountain is also afforded the luxury of experiencing the true beauty of all four seasons, which is certainly rare in this particular part of the world. There is simply nothing more magical than sitting down by a log fire to warm up on a cool night – you get to do that here and that’s an experience that’s much harder to find in Queensland.

6. WHAT TRANSPORT OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE MOUNTAIN ITSELF?

City taxis are not available on the mountain, however we do have our a few small transport operators which can accommodate taxi-style trips across the mountain. Uber is also around now, so that’s another option that’s opened transport on the mountain a little more. A lot of couples arrange to hire a bus service to collect guests from a designated location off the mountain to bring them up for their reception and then deliver them back to the same location at the end of the night…this is often a option that becomes far more simple, affordable & enjoyable for all parties. We can point you in the right direction for this type of service too. In terms of bridal car transport, there are beautiful options in the form of timeless Rolls Royce & Bentley vehicles offered by Somerton Limousines, unique 1930’s style vehicles plucked from a bygone era provided by Forgotten Era Automobiles and an ever so romantic horse and carriage service by Champagne Carriages. It’s all here!
